Wais Qais, a British-Afghan international development expert, is the founder and the CEO of AKS Services. He started his career as an investment banker with a postgraduate degree of MBA in an international business environment. He has overseen the delivery of numerous development programs in Asia region, managing programs for many development consultancies, including the United Nations. He has established a reputation as a trusted and highly competent partner in international development, managing projects across Afghanistan. His areas of expertise include governance, policy and strategy support, criminal justice, Public Financial Management, monitoring and evaluation, project management and technical consultancy training and capacity building and administration support services. Since 2015, he has served as President of the Aayenda Jewelry Cooperative. He is a trustee of Future Brilliance UK.
