Masood Ul Mulk, a Pakistan national and a renowned development and humanitarian practitioner was awarded the Tamagha e Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) by the President of Pakistan in 2018.  His work in micro hydro electricity generation won both the organisations that he led the prestigious Ashden Award ‘Green Oscar’. From 1991, he led Aga Khan Rural Support Programme in his home province of Chitral. AKRSP is a pioneering organization in community development, attracting visits from dignitaries such as HRH The Princess of Wales and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. Since 2001, he has led Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP), a leading NGO working in the western border regions of Pakistan. It is now the largest humanitarian and development programme in KP and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 1,500 employees. SRSP has delivered programmes for governments and international organisations such as the EU, AusAid, UN Agencies, DFID, KFW, SDC, USAID, AusAid etc. Ul Mulk has managed significant grants and contracts. Under his leadership, SRSP rebuilt over 60,000 houses in the wake of the earthquake of 2005; delivered nonfood items to over 600,000 conflict-affected and flood-hit households, in partnership with UNHCR. He made credit accessible to over 50,000 women, through woman village banks; generated about 30 megawatts of hydroelectricity, through social enterprises and community run projects; and provided training to thousands of youth in community leadership and vocational skills. Ul Mulk completed his MBA at Quaid e Azam University Islamabad. He has also studied Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Micro-Finance and Conflict and Humanitarian Aid at Wye College, York University, the American University and at Boulder University.  He is co-founder and board member of Future Brilliance Pakistan.
