Ida Beerhalter is a German born, MENA-focused venture capitalist with 19+ years of investment experience and a focus on Health. She is Co-CEO of IOME Family Office, a private investment partnership of women principals from the Middle East. She is on the Investment committee of Aescuvest, a pan-European health technology investment platform; a member of the Expert Council of EIT Health, on the Advisory Committee of Spark-BIH; a member of the BtoV Investor Circle. She is a strong champion of sustainability and impact investment and dedicates a significant portion of her time as Trustee or Board member of various charitable organizations – Auma Obama Foundation (Germany and Kenya), First Light trust (UK), Jim Button Foundation (Germany) – all of which focus on empowering the community they are founded to serve. Additionally, she serves on multiple Advisory Boards, amongst others, Green Sands Equity (USA), Professors Without Borders, (UK), Full Span Communications Ltd (UK), and Arab African Economic Development Initiative (Nigeria, UAE), Fadia Survive and Thrive Association (Switzerland). In 2015 she was selected as a TIAW World of Difference 100 Award recipient, for her contribution to the economic empowerment of women. She is an Ambassador for the UN-mandated University of Peace and a board member of Global Impact Initiative in the US (GII). She is a co-founder of Future Brilliance Germany (currently being registered) and a member of the international advisory board. She is providing support to the Afghans seeking resettlement in Germany.
